Lapsang Souchong Smoked Black Tea
A classic among Chinese black tea lovers. A delicate and smoky profile decidedly less brash than most conventional Lapsangs.
The bulk of Lapsang Souchong tea grown in Fujian is reserved for export. The leaves are slowly roasted over a wood fire, lending the tea its smoky profile. This technique is employed for local consumption, which we prefer to the bolder, somewhat harsh flavor that comes from the export variety. A delicate tea with a subtle smoky profile, Lapsang Souchong Smoked Black Tea can be served alongside fish and game meats as well as cream dishes. The ideal tea to follow a heavy meal.
Up to 2 infusions.
