The name costeño describes a wide variety of chilies that grow either on the East or West coasts of Mexico (costeño means “coastal”). This one comes from the coast of Oaxaca, a state in the Southwestern part of the country.
Not as hot as the red costeño, this rare yellow Oaxacan chile is essential to yellow mole. Its understated flavor blends well with a host of vegetables, meats and sauces.
Each bag contains 5-6 chiles.
