An aromatic and slightly hot spice blend, a great witness to the complexity and finesse of Balinese cuisine.
We’ve long adored the food in Bali, and long endeavored to create a spice blend worthy of the name. This is a tribute to our favorite Balinese curries.
In Bali, it’s common to prepare a spice paste, or Bumbu, beginning with a combination of fresh or dried spices. We’ve assembled a diverse range of spices, from galanga to kaffir lime leaf, which give dishes the unique fragrances typical of Balinese Bumbus.
Excellent for making curries of any sort (with or without meat), this blend can vitalize soups, fish dishes with coconut milk, or even tempeh recipes.
Ingredients: Turmeric, chile, galanga, kentjur, garlic, long pepper, coriander, cumin, mace, ginger, kaffir lime leaves, clove.
