Chaat Masala is characterized by mild acidity and a distinctive aroma. It is used to flavor raw or cooked vegetables in Indian cuisine and is a good salad seasoning in its own right. It is also often sprinkled on fresh fruits and chaats, one of India's most famous street foods.
This blend makes great tomato or cucumber salads. Added to soda water and lemon juice, Chaat Masala makes a great refreshing, thirst-quenching lemonade.
Ingredients: sea salt, black salt, amchoor (green mango), cumin, ginger, black pepper, asafoetida.
