Floral, almost blossom-like citrus flavor.
Japanese mandarins have a reputation for being the most fragrant, with a pure, bold flavor. They are also sometimes called Japanese tangerines. The dried mandarin peels are granulated and traditionally used in Japanese Seven Spice, also known as Shichimi Togarashi. They have a lightly bitter taste and marked citrus fragrance.
Chinpi perfectly complements roast chicken or fish dishes, as well as salads and steamed vegetables. You can also use them to fragrance desserts, mix them into tea or even infuse in alcohol.
