Turkey is the world’s most noteworthy exporter of oregano buds. The plant grows wild around the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean coast. Wild oregano harvests have been steadily declining over the past few years and as a result, mindful planting and harvesting have gained in popularity. Our oregano buds are harvested in Denizli, near the town of Pamukkale (Cotton Castle) which is renowned for its flowing, mineral-rich thermal waters.
