This exceptional product is made using the Tahitientis variety of vanilla beans and possesses a fragrance and flavour profile that is more complex than those found in an extract. In fact, the powder encompasses all the refined aromas of an actual vanilla bean, including rarefied notes of tobacco and leather. It has the added advantage of incorporating itself easily into numerous recipes without adding any liquid.
The climate and soil of New Guinea contribute to a very different vanilla experience. While Tahitientis was first developed in Tahiti, probably by crossing West-Indian and Mexican varieties, it has found a new home in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
