Imported from Hungary, this sweet and very colorful paprika has a rich, fruity fragrance.
It’s perfect for goulash and other Eastern European dishes. Fine paprika adds not just flavor and color to a dish, it also helps develop a smooth texture.
Our Hungarian paprika is paler in color and sweeter than its Spanish counterpart. A staple in traditional goulash and other Eastern European stews, it’s a great addition to chili, dips, tomato sauce and any bean dish. It goes well on meats and makes a surprising addition to mac and cheese. Sweet paprika is a great counterpoint to vinegars in salads dressings as well.
i>aprika, is a word used to describe a wide variety of red chilies that have been ground to powder form. The finished product is therefore the result of one chili, or an assemblage. Depending on the strength of the ground chili and the number of seeds ground along with the skin, we will have a paprika that is more or less hot. A good paprika however should colour a dish, but also add flavour.
