Direct from the Wu Liang Mountains situated in the Simao District of Yunnan Province, China. This Dian Hong flirts delicately with aromas of malt and chocolate. Delicious with milk but, can easily be drunk straight up!
Its large, whole leaves make for an astringent and bitter-free infusion, with an ensuing, agreeable roundness in the mouth.
This rustic, Yunnan black tea is unique and its taste profile continues to evolve with time. After two or three years, its flavours become more concentrated as the delicate, acidic notes – often associated with young teas – transform, becoming more structured and harmonious. Buying a large quantity can be advantageous as this tea will continue to improve over time.
