Jeoncha is a tea similar to Japanese Sencha. It has a deep green vegetal flavor, but does not present the same bitterness as many green teas. Nor does it have Sencha’s famous seaweed notes, but instead offers bold aroma and a lingering umami flavor.
Jeoncha First Flush is harvested in spring on Jeju, an island south of Korea. Since the leaves are quite delicate, don’t infuse them with too hot water.
