Holy basil is a fragrant and herbaceous herbal tea with hints of menthol, combined with a fruity aroma reminiscent of ripe blueberries. Mild, herbal and caffeine free, can easily be drunk any time of the day. Holy basil has little to no bitterness whatsoever and can therefore tolerate a long infusion.
Holy basil, also known as tulsi, is a plant that originates in India and is cultivated throughout Southern Asia. Its green, violet-hued leaves have been used in Hindu rites throughout the centuries.
Holy basil is also traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine. This crop is grown in Quebec.
