Cajun BBQ Sauce

Cajun BBQ Sauce

A simple blender sauce that keeps for weeks. 


1 lemon

3 cups stewed tomatoes

1 ½ cups vegetable oil

1 Tbsp salt

1 green pepper

2 stalks celery

3 onions

15 cloves garlic

1 cup ketchup

½ cup mustard

½ cup Worcestershire sauce

2 Tbsp cajun spices

    Slice the lemon and remove seeds.

    Put the lemon in a food processor with the vegetables (green pepper, celery, onions, garlic), and mince fine.

    Add the tomatoes and mince.

    Put all the ingredients in a large pot.

    Bring to a boil, lower the heat, and simmer for 30 minutes. Be sure to stir occasionally or it will burn.

    Pour into a clean, airtight container- this sauce will keep for weeks. Be sure to stir it before using if the oil has risen to the top
