Channa raïta
This chickpea raïta is flavorful and easy to make. It makes a great side for curries and indian dishes of all kinds.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp cumin seeds
- ¼ cup onion, slivered
- ½ tomato, chopped
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp coriander seeds, ground
- ½ tsp black pepper, ground
- 1 pinch Reshampatti chili, ground
- 1 cup yogourt
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 1 cup cooked chick peas, drained
- Salt to taste

Heat a small pan on medium heat. Grill cumin seeds in the hot pan until they become fragrant. Pour into a bowl.

Add all remaining ingredients to the bowl, except salt. Mix well, taste then add salt if necessary. Let rest for 10 minutes or longer before serving.
