Sautéed green beans
These green beans subtly spiced with ginger and fennel are a perfect accompaniment to any meal.
Ingredients
- 500 g blanched green beans
- 1 small onion, very thinly sliced
- nutmeg or mace (according to taste), ground
- ½ tsp ginger, ground
- 2 Tbsp fennel seed
- White pepper
- salt
- 1 Tbsp butter
- lemon juice (optional)

Sauté onion and spices in butter for 2 minutes.

Add beans and sauté until hot. Serve.
