Silk Road cornish hens
A blend that performs its magic in pilafs and lamb dishes! Recipe for 4 persons.
- 2 Cornish hens
- 4 onions
- 2 tsp Silk Road blend, ground
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 4 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 4 Tbsp honey
- Orange blossom water (opt.)
Mix the marinade ingredients together and marinate the hens for 1 to 2 hours.
Place the roughly chopped onions and the hens in a small roasting pan.
Cook at 425°F for 5 minutes, then for another 30 minutes at 375°F.
Remove from the oven and pour the honey on to the hens. Let rest for 15 minutes.
Reserve ½ poulet per diner, and sprinkle the rendered jus from the roasting pan.
Generously spray orange blossom water on the hens just prior to serving.
