Prepared in record time, this tuna rice is a quick, delicious and economic meal that’s perfect for a harried student or anyone in search of an easy weekday meal! Short grained, Japanese style rice is ideal for this recipe but, feel free to use any rice (or other whole grain) of your choosing.
Heat the rice, if necessary.
Pour the rice vinegar and sugar into a soup bowl. Add the rice and mix with a fork or chopsticks. Let cool while preparing the other ingredients.
Place the tuna on the rice. Add the mayonnaise, soy sauce, grilled sesame oil then sprinkle on the spices.
Place your chosen vegetables then garnish with green shallots or chopped chives. Mix well before serving.
